This large public sundial and plaza anchors the end of this popular pier on the Hudson River. The dial combines a horizontal dial whose shadows radiate on the 40-foot diameter plaza, an equatorial dial on the crescent shape and a solar calendar at the dial’s center where a beam of light illuminates each day of the year at noon Standard Time. Height 11 feet -6 inches, brushed stainless steel.
Also included are two views of a smaller version of this dial in front of the Suffern Free Library in Suffern, NY.
